The Story:
Arris worked with an integrated team of facilities, nursing, and operational staff to design the renovation of an existing skilled nursing facility. The design incorporates a new “main street” approach to care in an existing facility. Arris worked with Oak Crest to facilitate a strength based, person centered approach to care providing spaces and destinations sensitive to the diminished cognitive and physical attributes of elderly residents. Arris has participated in presenting this innovative approach both nationally at NeoCon and locally at the Maryland Conference on Alzheimer’s Disease.
